Should the school be used as a polling station?
I start off with a dialemma that was presented to me a couple of weeks ago. Tewkesbury Borough Council usually use the Village Hall as a polling station during elections but, as you are aware, it is still being refurbished so they have asked if they can use the school instead.

For

• It would promote the school to all the village residents
• It would offer support for the village whilst the hall is being refurbished
• Everyone knows where the school is
• It is in the centre of the village

Against

• The school would have to be closed to children
• There may be child care issues for parents
