4th March 2010 World Book Day Enjoying reading and becoming the characters in the books.
World Book Day was themed around traditional tales and staff and children dressed up as different characters. On my journey through school I finally met Robin Hood, Cinderella, Black Beauty and of course, Mr McGregor who has taken time out from his gardening to come to Ashleworth. The children read stories and enjoyed the stories that others had brought in. |

With the guidance and support of Lesley and Mary, the children created two flower arrangements, one for the entrance hall for visitors and parents to enjoy, and one for our collective worship area for everyone to see. We hope to continue to learn more skills from the adults in the local community. |

29th January 2010 Stories Spectacular! Through Scholastic Publishers, we will be publishing our own story book to celebrate World Book Day.
The staff and children are very excited with the prospect of creating our own book. Stories are now in the process of being written all in the theme of 'stories from around the world'. If you would like to buy a copy of our book please contact the school. We are also celebrating the day, on the 4th March, by dressing up as our favourite characters from traditional tales.

15th January 2010 NEW WEBSITE
Making it even easier to find out what's going on at Ashleworth CE Primary School
When we were hit with the snow, our website became inaccessible due to the high volume of people trying to use ik.org (the website provider that we were using) so we have changed, ensuring that when we need to, we can post messages to you and know you can access them! Hope you like the new website, in the not too distant future, the children will be designing their own class pages with their work. | |
