Thanks are due to Mr Senior for generously giving time to share his model, answer questions and allowing the children to try their hand at being railway controllers! SPECIAL EVENT Full steam ahead! Friday 16th September at school Great excitement and steam was generated when our chair of governors Richard Wall brought in two working model steam engines for the children to see at first-hand how such machines work. SPECIAL EVENT News from Ashleworth CE Primary School 12th August At the end of the summer term Ashleworth School Governing Body announced that from September, Gary Law will become the Executive Head providing leadership to both Ashleworth and Pauntley Schools. We are also delighted to announce that Mrs Mandy Vince, KS2 teacher, will become full time and as well as continuing to teach, will take on day-to-day administrative responsibilities. “We are very excited about this announcement. Our School will retain all that we love about it but will be enhanced by the extra opportunities that this will create for pupils from both schools. The children will be able to join in with more team sports, music, outings, and competitions for example,” commented Richard Wall, Chair of Governors. “Any rumours that the two schools are merging are untrue, with each school, in everyday matters, retaining its independence and continuing its distinctive role in caring for and educating our children. The sharing of the Head Teacher will secure the future of Ashleworth School.” To find out more, come to our Open Evening at Ashleworth School, on Thursday 6th October at 7.30 pm. | .png) |
